TWENTY YEARS!!! Whoo-Hooo!

Yesterday, Tony and I celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary! We went out for a lovely dinner at Maggianos. The waiter found out it was our twentieth and surprised us with a HUGE plate of dessert (a serving of every dessert they offer) with curly candles sticking out of it. I wish I had taken a picture. We ate so much we could hardly walk out of there!

When we got home we popped in our wedding video into an old VHS player. I don't think we've watched it in about ten years. It was hilarious to look back on my Madonnaesque, fingerless lace gloves and bubble hem wedding gown - (Why didn't someone (MOTHER!) try to stop me from wearing that!?!). We look so young - just babies! And at 21 and 23 we were young.

Tony and I have been through a lot and I have to admit to a feeling of accomplishment and "pride" for sticking it out and loving each other through the good times and bad. We got married young, had children young, and were both pretty immature. We've grown up together. But as much as people insist waiting until you have yourself and your life in order to get married is the best route, I don't think it would have been for us. It's been hard, we've been broke and desperate at times, but the Lord has always been at the center of our relationship. And with Him on our side, we've made it this far more in love than the day we got married.
God is faithful to complete the work that He begins! PTL!!

Love you, honey!!! Here's to twenty more years!!

Happy Anniversary:) I wore those lace gloves to a dance, and when we got the pics back, everyone thought I had a cast on my hand:)

LOL, Molly! At least we wore both and didn't do the Michael Jackson one glove thing:). Ah, the eighties...
